Here is what Special Projects Director Beth Steele Radisek of Cleveland International Film Festival says about ‘Reconnection’:
“Reconnection invites the viewer to travel along with a man who after a particularly bad break up decides to live in a small Indian village in an attempt to recenter his life. The theme of this film is something many viewers will relate to. Often events occur to us that cause us to want to take a step back and refocus our lives. This film really encapsulates that feeling through it’s story.
Reconnection is a visually stunning film. I love the footage of the countryside, the mountains, and the intimate look at the people of Vrindavan. The lighting is thoughtful and appropriate, as is the cinematography. The visuals all create a very strong, cohesive sense of style and feel like something out of a National Geographic magazine. The coloring and tone are perfect and the sequences all flow together nicely.
The production value and attention to detail is strong, and it’s apparent that the director took great care to create their vision with intent and thoughtfulness.
The film showed some great cultural scenes of India. It had some really nice moments with the people and the towns, providing a natural look at the country.”
